Busch Wins in Charlotte
from truckseries.com
Concord, NC (May 23, 2011) - Kyle Busch overcame an early spin to pass Clint Bowyer with seven laps to go to win the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The victory was Busch’s fourth in six NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races this season, and 28th in 91 career series starts. Bowyer held on for second ahead of Cole Whitt, James Buescher and Ron Hornaday Jr. Whitt took over the points lead, 1 ahead of Johnny Sauter.
It was a sloppy, uneven affair from the get go.
Former Formula 1 double world champion Kimi Raikkonen made his NCWTS debut, and it took just two laps for him to bounce the No. 15 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota off the Turn 4 wall, although he was able to continue. Raikkonen eventually finished 15th.
